Tteokbokki: original plus pancake, and rose (creamy). This family-run coffee house has the coziest vibe out of all food establishments on (and next to) UBC campus! :) The ambience is very suitable for studying, too.

The food was very tasty. If you are a fan of Korean food, but can’t handle the spice well; this place is highly recommended. The spicy level is adjustable. Everything was great. However, the cashier was not very friendly to take the order. If the restaurant can improve the customer service, it will be a nice spot to check out for sure.

I tried the spicy rice cakes and was pleasantly surprised by how good the texture was. They were chewy, well cooked, and had a nice level of spice that was flavorful without being overwhelming. I also liked that the bowl option allows you to try a variety of different foods in one order, which makes it easy to sample several items at the same time. The ingredients tasted fresh and the portions were satisfying. Overall it was an enjoyable meal and a great place to try different combinations. I would definitely come back to explore more items on the menu.
